I'm a huge fan of all of her sci fi fantasy but especially the world of Pern. I suspect there is at least one other out there on this site as well. It's killing me that the "Harperhall trilogy" part of the series is still unavailable for my kindle.

I'm a big fan of Anne McCaffrey!!! I found a box of her books at a flea market when out of town one year and bought all of them - I'm so glad I did - I've been in love with her stuff ever since. (I'm still old-fashioned I guess and read the old-fashioned way - not that I won't ever try kindles...). The Dragonrider series is excellent. I wasn't ready for the series to end - I actually bought a few of Todd's books but after reading some of the comments I wasn't really pleased with the way he was taking the story so haven't picked them up yet.

The newest Todd book sounds more like the old ones so I may try it. If it is on Nook or Kindle, I'll try a sample and read lots of reviews first. I would love to reread them but I either borrowed from my aunt and uncle or gave them my copies. When they moved, someone in the family turned them all in for credit. (not credit for aunt and uncle either).
