Profiles
How do I change my profile image?
  1. Click on Edit Preferences on right navigation under "My FictFact"
  2. Click "Change Image" under your existing image
  3. Upload a new .jpg, .gif, or .png image under 1MB.
  4. Click "Save File"
How can I change my password?
  1. Click on Edit Preferences on right navigation under "My FictFact"
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. You will be asked for your current password
  4. Enter a new password
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Click "Change Password"
How can I change my profile to public or private?
  1. Click on Edit Preferences on right navigation under "My FictFact"
  2. Change your "Profile Privacy" to desired level.
  3. Click "Save"
  4. Note: If you change your profile from private to public, you must also change any lists to public if you want to share them (Including your ALL list).
Next Book List
What is a Next Book List?
Select which series you are interested in and which books you've read. We create a custom "next book" queue for you. This list contains the next book in each series. This way, you'll never read a series out of order again!
How can I change which next books show up in the top ten?
  1. Click on "Next Books" Link in the top navigation
  2. Click and drag each series to the desired position in your top 10.
How do I remove a series from my Next Book List?
  1. Click "Next Book" on the top navigation
  2. Cick "Remove from Next List" next to the series
  3. This can be undone by going to the series and then clicking "Include in Next List"
  4. Note: You will still get emails about this series when new books are added and books are released.
Series/Authors/Books
How do I follow a series?
We have links to "Follow series" in several locations:
  1. On the left column of the Series by Name section of our site.
  2. On any public list.
  3. At the top right of the series detail page.
  4. On the Most Popular Series page
How do I mark a book as read?
There are three places to mark books as read
  1. From your next book list, you can mark the book as read and your list will automatically update.
  2. Go to the book details page and click the "Mark as Read" link on the top right.
  3. Go to the series page and click "Mark as Read" under each book name.
What if I don't see one of my series or authors?
We are constantly adding new authors and series from user suggestions and would love to know if you notice any we are missing. Please send us a message via our Contact Us page and we will add it to FictFact.
Lists
How do I add a new list?
  1. Click on "Profile"
  2. Click on "+ Add List" button
  3. Enter a Name, Description, and privacy setting
  4. Click "Save"
  5. You will be redirected to the list edit page where you can make changes and add series.
How do I add series to my list?
There are two ways to add series from the list.
  1. From the list page, click "Edit"
    • Then in the "Add Series to List:" text box, you can select from all of the series you are following
  2. From the series detail page, on the right hand side, under tags, you can see all of the lists the series is currently a part of.
    • Click "edit"
    • Select the checkbox next to the lists you would like to add it to.
    • Click "done" to closed the checkboxes.
How do I change my list to public or private?
  1. From the list page, click "Edit"
  2. There is a radio button for public or private
  3. Click "save" to update.
Contacts
How do I add or remove contacts?
  1. If you visit a public rofile page of a friend, there is an "Add Contact" or "Remove Contact" link on the top right.
How do I find contacts?
  1. Login to FictFact
  2. Click on Search for Contacts link on the right menu under "My FictFact"
  3. You can search by First and Last Name or by email address. Only users who have indicated they want their profile to be public will show up in the list.
